CAPE HATTERAS

Our newest addition to our garden lighthouses, the Cape Hatteras is painted to replicate the actual lighthouse located in North Carolina. With the famous barber pole black and white stripes to the stone detail in the base offers a realistic replica of the tallest lighthouse in the nation. The original lighthouse could be seen 20 miles off shore warning mariners of the treacherous Diamond Shoals which are sandbars extending some 14 miles into the waters off of the Cape Hatteras lighthouse. This famous lighthouse was moved in 1999 from its original location to beach erosion and the encroaching waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
